Daily, we observe ‘leaders’. Some we may find heroic, some inspirational and some seemingly intolerable; but from them all, we can learn so much.
Leadership holds two fundamental elements: leading oneself and leading others. Authentic leadership, that which we sense to be genuine (the real-deal and trustworthy) relies on optimising leadership of ourself and of others. Dear Aspiring Leader,
I felt to write you this message, as I've walked a leadership path, perhaps not too dissimilar to one you might be treading. At times I have felt the mixed emotions of yearning for more responsibility mingled with a hesitant uncertainty. I’ve known the exhilaration of leadership, the power of teamwork, and yet, inspite of that I have endured times of doubting myself and second-guessing opportunities. Although a call to leadership may pulse strong in our veins, it’s not uncommon for the intrusion of destabilising thoughts to rattle our cage.

Dear practising leader, thanks you for your time here - it’s good we can connect in this small way. Leadership is a distinctive experience.
