Leadership Mentoring
Catalyst Coaching Place offers mentoring as an integral part of its services and provides clients the opportunity to intentionally move between the coaching and mentoring modes. This flexibility proves very helpful in leadership development.
Kind, insightful and committed to excellence, Dr Christine Price is an experienced and sought after mentor who is passionate about serving people’s dreams and fostering their potential. Whether servicing individuals or whole teams within organisations, Christine offers the same confidential one-on-one mentoring relationship, a service which can be adapted for your particular circumstance.
Why Mentoring?
The mentoring mode is advantageous when you want to benefit from the coach's specific knowledge, experience or skills. For example, you might seek mentoring for: progressing work and family relationships; gaining leadership insights and wisdom; practical tasks such as public speaking preparation, or managing complex and difficult situations.
Being your own leader
Taking the initiative and responsibility for your own personal and professional growth is empowering and freeing. As a leadership coach and international speaker, J Loren Norris, once said,
"If you cannot see where you are going, ask someone who has been there before..."
A mentor is wise, and though they can’t do your work, they are an encouraging support. Just like coaching, mentoring is not therapy. It is positively orientated conversation, focussed upon your desired future and, just like coaching, you are in charge of the direction you wish to head. It is definitely not a ‘do what the mentor says’ relationship. Whilst a mentor is an expert in a particular field of interest, you are the personal expert of your life; therefore, mutual respect is a hallmark of the mentoring relationship.
A mentor supports your leadership and learning
At Catalyst Coaching Place the mentor extends confidential support to you. Their role is to listen, but unlike coaching, they may offer wisdom, advice, strategies, training and/or support, which serve the success you’re seeking. Any suggestions given by the mentor are for you to consider, explore and test at your discretion. Apply them how you wish to your unique situation. Finally, reflect and learn from the results. Mentoring is a dynamic, exciting and expedient way of moving your leadership or personal journey forward.
